Young readers

Whatever reading level, Ginger and Pickles aims to inspire every young person to pick up a book and get lost in its pages. First chapter books and exciting serials are a great way to entice even the most reluctant reader as well as broaden the horizons for the more adventurous.

In recent years the explosion of YA books has meant that teens have a wealth of choice when it comes to reading for enjoyment. Reading not only enhances language and literacy skills but allows young people to become more engaged with the world around them. Actively reading at this age will also be highly beneficial for moving on to the next chapter in a young adult’s life. From contemporary to history, from fantasy to sci-fi, Ginger and Pickles has a dedicated area for teens.
